Sunshine Group starts construction of the road connecting extended Hoang Quoc Viet Street
09.01.2025
On January 5, 2025, Sunshine Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a road connecting the extended Hoang Quoc Viet road. The project is being carried out under a public-private partnership model with 100% socialized funding, and it is expected that nearly half of the road will be completed within 3 months after land clearance and construction.
Socialize 100% of traffic infrastructure projects
In recent years, the public-private partnership model has been a correct policy adopted by the Party and the State to address investment bottlenecks in infrastructure, especially transportation, to promote economic growth, reduce pressure on the state budget, and avoid wasteful use of national resources. The private sector, particularly large corporations, has proven to have significant advantages in accelerating project implementation due to flexibility in capital use and governance mechanisms, meeting urgent infrastructure needs to stimulate socio-economic development and enhance the national economy’s competitiveness.
In this context, the construction of the road connecting extended Hoang Quoc Viet, which has been delayed for over 10 years, is now being handled by Sunshine Group, which has been tasked with completing nearly half of the road under a 100% socialized funding model. The total investment for this portion is 200 billion VND. Committed to accelerating the project, Sunshine Group plans to complete land clearance and construction within just 3 months while ensuring the highest quality according to current technical standards.
The overall layout of the road connecting extended Hoang Quoc Viet street, which Sunshine Group officially began construction on January 5, 2025: It is located between Tay Thang Long Avenue, National Road 32, and Thang Long Avenue, directly connecting with the extended Hoang Quoc Viet road. It also intersects Ring Road 4 and 3.5, and runs through the Noble Palace Tay Thang Long project – a smart commercial urban area currently under construction, with a total investment of nearly 14 trillion VND, expected to be handed over by August 2025.
A Boost to Infrastructure, Bringing the Distance from Ring Road 4 Closer to the City Core
The road connecting the extended Hoang Quoc Viet road is a first-level inter-regional urban road according to the Ministry of Construction’s regulations, with a cross-sectional width of 40 meters, and a fully synchronized technical infrastructure system. The project began in 2009 but has yet to be fully connected.
With socialized funding and the implementation capacity of large private enterprises such as Sunshine Group, once completed, this road will contribute to developing a modern, synchronized transportation infrastructure system, increasing connectivity from Ring Road 4 in the western part of the capital to the inner-city core.
Additionally, it will complement the State’s public investment projects in infrastructure and urban development, providing jobs and income for tens of thousands of workers, while also creating economic and social development opportunities for the areas surrounding the Tay Thang Long axis, helping to shape the region as a dynamic, modern economic center for the capital in the near future.
