Sunshine Group Joins Hands to Address the Aftermath of Typhoon Yagi

Hundreds of people died and went missing, thousands of people were injured, hundreds of thousands of houses, bridges… collapsed with preliminary damage estimated at over 81,000 billion VND – these are extremely tragic losses for the people of the North after the historic storm Yagi passed. Immediately after the emergency relief activities were deployed, the whole country is continuing to turn to the North to join hands with the government and people in the long-term reconstruction, especially supporting the livelihoods of the victims of storm Yagi.
In line with this goal, and with the tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance, Sunshine Group launched a campaign to support those severely affected by the typhoon and received a donation of 1 billion VND from the Leadership and employees of its member companies nationwide. This amount was presented to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on October 4, 2024, expressing deep sympathy for the difficulties faced by the affected residents and offering encouragement for them to overcome hardships and restore their lives.
The program of donating and supporting the North after the storm and flood is one of the community activities that Sunshine Group has been carrying out in recent times. As a multi-industry economic group, with investment fields such as developing real estate projects, construction, trade, education, etc., one of the missions that Sunshine Group always pursues is responsibility to the community, with the goal of “leaving no one behind” as the policy set forth by the Government.
Previously, many social security activities have been annually implemented by Sunshine Group and its member units in many fields such as education, healthcare, community health care, typically supporting tens of billions of VND in cash as well as medical equipment to join hands with the whole country as well as many localities such as Hanoi, Bac Giang … to prevent Covid – 19; donating to support the people of the Central region and localities affected by natural disasters; participating in the program “Sacred Fatherland” to share difficulties and honor Vietnamese heroic mothers, heroes of the armed forces, war invalids, sick soldiers, families of people with meritorious services to the Revolution; organizing charity programs for children in mountainous areas, lonely elderly people; sponsoring and giving educational equipment to disadvantaged schools in Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa …
