30.12.2024
On the afternoon of August 20, 2024, at the PVF Football Training Center – Ministry of Public Security (Văn Giang District, Hưng Yên Province), the Vietnam Police Sports Association held the launch ceremony for the Hanoi Police Football Club. General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security, and President of the Vietnam Police Sports Association, attended and presided over the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Nguyễn Văn Hùng, representatives from Hanoi’s Party Committee and People’s Committee, Hưng Yên’s Party Committee and People’s Committee, leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hưng Yên Police Departments, representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Vietnam Football Federation President Trần Quốc Tuấn, representatives from national sports federations, and partners of the Association.
In the 2024/25 season, Hanoi Police Football Club will participate in two professional tournaments: the National Championship and the National Cup. Besides the two domestic tournaments, the team will also compete in the 2024/25 ASEAN Club Championship, their first international competition.
In preparation for the new season, in addition to launching their new match kits, both clubs announced their squads and introduced new signings. Hanoi Police FC has 8 new players: goalkeeper Chu Văn Tấn, defenders Jason Quang Vinh Pendant and Nguyễn Văn Đức, center-back Domingos Hugo Gomes, midfielder Vitor Hugo Rosa Nacismento, forwards Alan Sebastiao Alexandre, Artur De Melo Leonardo, and Nguyễn Đình Bắc.
Compared to other new recruits, the appearance of Dinh Bac at the departure ceremony is somewhat special, as the home page of this team has not yet officially announced the striker born in 2004. Previously, information about the Nghe An striker joining the Hanoi Police had appeared more than a month ago, but it was not until today that the official information about this deal was confirmed by the club.
At the opening ceremony, on behalf of Hanoi Police FC, head coach Alexandre Polking expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Sports Association and the supporting partners. Coach Polking stated that the team had prepared thoroughly and was ready for the new season, with a strong determination to secure the top position in domestic competitions. Regarding the ASEAN Club Championship, player Nguyễn Quang Hải, representing the players, also expressed the team’s determination to strive for a high ranking.
At the ceremony, Senior General Lương Tam Quang personally presented plaques of recognition to partner organizations that collaborate in brand development with members of the Vietnam Public Security Sports Association (Hiệp hội Thể thao CAND). In addition to the annual partners, new names have emerged for the 2024-2025 season. Sunshine Group not only participated as a silver sponsor for Hanoi Police FC in the 2024-2025 V-League but also committed to supporting the club for the next three years, from 2024 to 2027.
Hanoi Police Football Club also announced the results of the competition for creating a cheering song, mascot design, slogan, and match kit. From 390 entries submitted, the judging panel, including journalist Lại Văn Sâm, football commentator Quang Huy, singer-songwriter Hoàng Bách, and fashion designer Duy Nguyễn, selected 40 winning works. These included 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 33 consolation prizes. The only first prize went to the match kit design by Đỗ Thế Anh from Thái Nguyên. However, this design still needs some adjustments to meet the criteria for the club’s attire. Once finalized, this kit will be used by the club in the 2024/25 National Cup.
Regarding the mascot design category, the organizing committee received many submissions. However, none of the works met the competition’s criteria or practical application requirements. In this category, the committee awarded 10 consolation prizes to the 10 highest-scoring works. For the cheering song and slogan categories, each had one second prize and one third prize.
Hanoi Police FC will kick off the 2024/25 season by hosting Buriram United (Thailand) in the opening match of Group B at the 2024/25 ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup. The match will take place at 19:30 on August 22.
